It has been quite a while since I wrote my last lust list. So this time I decided to write about all that I love in NYC. Given that I only have so much space on my jpeg file to add images, I decided to focus on 6 lusts.
HOLLY GOLIGHTLY
Holly Golightly is the epitome of the free spirit that permeates the air of New York City! She is fun, she is free, she is completely NYC. If you don’t know who she is, go rent Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Then come back and lets talk.
SEASONS
Season’s changing. In NYC, we have a real reason to wear boots. In Cali, where I was raised, closed toed shoes were just a fashion accessory. Boots here mean fall leaves and winter snow, and putting them away for the summer means beaches and sunshine. I love the four seasons, thank you NYC for introducing it to me.
A-ROD
If I didn’t live in NYC, I wouldn’t have A-Rod or the Yankees. I am by no means a sports person, but it is comforting to have a winning team filled with hot guys that I can brag about as mine. Go Yankees! Go A-Rod! Dump Kate and marry me! I am better!
RESTAURANTS
Now really, what city in America has better restaurants, better bars, better lounges, and better nightlife? None! NYC is built for the evening’s pleasures! I mean we all work so hard in this town, we gotta get out and play. Everyone here does, and to all hours. Gotta love a town that is open all night.. and has no slot machines in sight!
BROOKLYN
Ah Brooklyn.. you I will love forever! I know Manhattan is the bomb, and that no place compares, but my heart and my home are both in Brooklyn! Yo Adrian! Grab me some pizza and lets go!
GRACE
Grace Coddington IS fashion! Anna Wintour may call the shots at Vogue, but Grace Coddington makes the shots callable. The style director at the very worship worthy magazine, makes fashion spreads the make my poor heart go aflutter. No one is as dreamy and fantastic with their layout as Grace. If you like fashion in anyway, then you have been inspired by her, whether you know it or not. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Anna.
